ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

Topics

  • Addressing the Consequences of the Global Shift Towards Cashless Economies
  • Addressing Aid Dependency in Developing States

Hi, my name is Vaanya. I am a current junior at the International School Bangkok pursuing the IB Diploma. I am particularly interested in the intersection of economics and technology. This is my second time chairing THAIMUN (and second time with ECOSOC), so I am very excited to chair everyone. I have been doing MUN since around 8th grade and really enjoy it. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Hello everyone, I’m Chongrong Wang, a senior at Bangkok Patana School, and it is my absolute honour to serve as a chair for THAIMUNXIII! This will be my first time chairing at THAIMUN, but not the first time chairing committees. I know a large conference like THAIMUN can be intimidating for new delegates and still nerve-racking for experienced delegates, but I hope all the delegates realise that we chairs have all been in the same position you are in and we are always happy to give help and feedback whenever needed.
