Greetings EC delegates! My name is Sovan Dhakal and it is my privilege to be your chair for this upcoming THAIMUN VII Conference. I’m from Nepal and I’m a 12th grader from Ekamai International School. I believe that MUN is a great opportunity for us students to learn about global issues and to be able to convey our feelings about these issues. MUN has taught me so much in terms of global issues and public speaking. It is my goal for this conference that all of the delegates in the EC will feel the same. MUN is all about debating and having fun and that is what I can promise to my delegates. If you have any further questions do let me know at sovandhakal123@gmail.com or you can contact me through messenger (Sovan Dhakal). See you at the conference!

Hey MUNers!

My name is Kimberly Hwang, and I’m a senior studying at Taipei American School. I’m honored to serve as your chair for the Environment Commission! I first joined Model United Nations in eighth grade, where I attended our school’s own conference. From then on, I have served as a delegate, expert, Youth Assembly participant, and Deputy Secretary-General for several other conferences. Through these years, I’ve learned to come out of my shell by pushing myself to speak up about topics I’m passionate about, especially ones about the environment and sustainability! I have learned the most from my chairs at my conferences, and I will ensure that I try my best so that you feel challenged but also comfortable to explore these controversial topics. I hope that I can impart all the tips I have learned from MUN to you and help you in any way I can to facilitate healthy debates during this conference. If this is your first time participating in MUN, rest assured, I will help make this conference a great learning and memorable experience for you! As this is my last year in high school, this will be a very special conference for me as well. Finally, I’m excited to meet everyone, and I look forward to the fruitful debate we will have!
