Dear esteemed inspectors,
it is with great pleasure that I welcome every one of you to the INTERPOL committee at THAIMUN XII. My name is Hyunwoo (Harry) Shin, and I am greatly honored to serve as the head chair for the twelfth iteration of such a remarkable MUN conference. I am a junior at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju in the Republic of Korea and have been a MUNer since 8th grade. Since then, I have had the privilege of chairing six different committees across various conferences in Korea, as well as organizing three conferences as a secretariat. Whether you are an inspector with relatively little MUN experience or a true expert in MUN, I can confidently promise you that you will find joy and fulfillment in INTERPOL. As the head chair of INTERPOL, I assure you that you will have a wonderful time on this panel. I look forward to the fruitful discussions and the enriching experiences that await INTERPOL. See you all soon! |
Hey inspectors! I’m Sophia, one of your deputy chairs for INTERPOL this year. I’m currently a junior at Concordian International School, and since starting MUN as a nerve-wracked delegate at my very first conference three years ago, I’ve had the pleasure of attending many more in Bangkok as either a delegate, chair, or part of the secretariat.
THAIMUN is a prime opportunity you’ll have as a delegate to form meaningful relationships while exploring solutions to relevant, real world issues that hold significance in today’s polarized societies in such a large-scale and diverse environment, so make the most of it! Outside of MUN, I’m an avid film and theater, literature, and travel enthusiast. I love exploring and trying new things, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that I’m chairing THAIMUN’s first INTERPOL committee. I know all of us still have that little bit of anxiety or fear entering a new setting full of strangers, but I can assure you that by the end of these three days, you’ll be wondering what made you so nervous in the first place. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email at [email protected] or DM (@sophiaallo). See you soon! |

Hello, inspectors and delegates,
My name is Kevin, and I am a Year 10 (freshman) student from King's College Bangkok. It is my distinct pleasure to serve as the Deputy Chair for the INTERPOL committee at THAIMUN. THAIMUN was my first-ever MUN experience, and although I started as a nervous beginner, I quickly discovered how rewarding and exciting it could be. What once felt intimidating soon became something I genuinely enjoyed and grew passionate about and I hope your experience will be just as amazing as mine! This conference is a special milestone for me. Not only is it my first time chairing, but it will also mark my one-year anniversary of joining the MUN community. I am so excited to take on this new challenge and help create a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all delegates in the INTERPOL committee.Outside of MUN, I am a violinist, golfer and history/political documentary addict. I look forward to meeting all of you and let's make THAIMUN an unforgettable experience! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! |
