My name is Arnav and I am in Year 11 at Bangkok Patana. This is my 8th MUN conference, and first experience chairing, and I am honored that I have been given the opportunity to chair at THAIMUN VIII. I love politics and debating and am very passionate about MUN. Outside of MUN I like economics and playing basketball and cricket. I hope to have fruitful and interesting debate in the committee and that my first time chairing will be a memorable one.

MAYA MATHUR |
Hi! My name is Maya. I am a Year 12 student at STA, which is where I was introduced to MUN. I currently spend most of my time between homework, watching Netflix and, sadly, university research. My MUN career began 3 years ago, and I have now attended over 15 conferences as a delegate, and a few more as a parliamentarian / chairperson. One of the reasons I fell in love with MUN is because every delegate affects solutions and has the ability to create change in the world. Furthermore, representing countries with entirely different opinions and laws, that are out of the ordinary, is an excellent way to look at issues differently. Model UN is truly an eye-opener to the world around you. I cannot wait to see the debate and ideas you all come up with and hope you all have an educational and amazing THAIMUN VIII.
