My name is Cate O’Connor, and I am thrilled to be a chair this year at THAIMUN X! I live in Chicago and have participated in a variety of Model UN conferences across the United States. I also am a leader of the two MUN programs at my school. I am really excited to moderate our debate on women's related issues and to meet other members of the THAIMUN team!
At my school, Francis W. Parker, I play both field hockey and softball. I am also an editor for our literary magazine and participate in various clubs and student organizations. I am sure that this conference will provide many learning opportunities, but I am so excited to meet all delegates and see where our committee goes! Model UN is all about growing as global citizens and establishing new partnerships, and these will be the main goals of our committee. If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to reach out. My email is coconnor@fwparker.org. Can’t wait to meet everyone this March! |

Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to the UN Women Committee this year! I’m so excited to work with each and everyone of you as we learn from each other and become global citizens. My name is Voranan Puengchanchaikul, but my nickname is Bene (she/her). I’m currently a ninth grader at Ruamrudee International School here in Bangkok, Thailand. In terms of MUN experience, I started MUN in grade 5 (which totally does not make me a nerd), so this is my fifth year being involved in such inspiring conferences, adding up to 8 conferences and 2 upcoming ones. I was given the opportunity to be Secretary-General of our Middle School MUN Club at school last year, and now I’m a high school freshman who is part of the THAIMUN X Student Management Committee.
Outside of MUN, you’ll find me playing volleyball and badminton, reading, participating in many service-learning clubs and projects, playing the piano, participating in the High School Student Council, hanging out with my family and friends, even taking care of my pets, and more! I’m extremely passionate about solving global issues through MUN, and I especially believe that female rights are of utmost significance. I am confident that this committee will be an unforgettable one, no matter if you’re extremely experienced or are a first-time participant. I look forward to meeting everyone and working together towards common goals and solutions! Cate (our awesome head chair) and I hope to establish cooperation and help delegates grow as the future leaders of our world. Finally, if you have any questions, concerns, comments, or just want to chat, you can always contact me via email: vorananp26@rism.ac.th See you soon! |
