Historical Crisis Committee

TOPICS

  • The Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905)

Hello Everyone!
My name is Anbie Lee from KIS International School and I have the honor of being one of your HCC chairs for this year’s THAIMUN. This will be my seventh time chairing, and my second time chairing THAIMUN. I am excited to be back and participate in another MUN conference and be a part of a historical committee! Outside of MUN, you can find me trying to study for my exams this May, scurrying around Kinokunya, anticipating the release of Kenobi/the Ahsoka show, or 15 meters underwater staring at coral reefs. I am looking forward to some interesting scenarios and exploring alternate history, as well as meeting all of you in March!

Shovit Dhakal

Hello, I am Shovit Dhakal, I am 17, currently a senior in Ekamai International School, and one of your four HCC chairs. I joined MUN, a chubby 8th grader who wasn’t fully sure where I belonged in the Academic World. Never did I think that I would ever get the opportunity to chair in THAIMUN. However, 10 conferences later, here I am, honored and excited for this opportunity. For my other hobbies and interests, there isn’t much apart from being a fanatic football fan, and an enthusiast of cooking and food. I am honored to be one of your chairs for the HCC Committee, and despite the constraint of the conference being virtual, I know we will all have a memorable experience.

Chhorlita Phat (she/her)

Hello everyone! I am Lita. I will be chairing for HCC, to all my fellow delegates in HCC out there. I would like to greet you all with a warm welcome and I can’t express just how excited I am to meet all of you even though it’s a little upsetting that this conference will be held online. Nonetheless, to say it will still be such a great time and experience for all!

I adore reading. It would be one of the activities that I can’t live without. My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austine. Other activities that I find myself enjoying would be writing and cooking. Please, feel free to email me about anything! (chhorlita.phat@ciaschool.edu.kh)

Karis Yim

Hi everyone!

My name is Karis Yim and I am super honored to be your HCC backroom chair. I am currently a junior at International Community School! I have been doing MUN since my freshmen year, but this is my first chairing experience so I am super excited to spend the weekend with you. Sadly, THAIMUN is online this year, but I hope we have a wonderful virtual conference.

Outside of MUN, I am busy watching k-dramas, making puzzles, and playing Hay Day. On a typical Saturday, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and procrastinating on my homework. If you have any questions, you can email me at kariseyim@gmail.com, or message me on Instagram @karis_key!
