Historical Crisis Committee

TOPICS

  • The Crimean Crisis (2014)
  • The Wars of the Three Kingdom (220-280 AD)
  • The First Opium War (1839-1842)

They say you can’t fix a disaster, but they’ve clearly never seen me run a Crisis committee. After two years and a frankly concerning number of conferences (17, but who's counting?), I’ve successfully herded the cats of chaos at places like THAIMUN and RISMUN. Now, I’m bringing my particular brand of organised chaos back to THAIMUN XIII.

My chairing ideology is simple: I believe in controlled insanity. Decorum is non-negotiable, but so is your enjoyment. I’m not here to be a silent statue; I’m here to enable your wildest historical “what ifs” and then creatively punish you for them. I thrive on fast-paced, unhinged debate, and my record proves I can not only handle it but make it an experience you’ll actually enjoy. If you have questions, crisis notes, or just want to complain about your other chairs, find me on IG @imtony107 or email [email protected].
Get ready. It’s going to be gloriously messy.

Hi delegates,

I am Arjun, I will be one of your front room chairs for HCC this year. I am currently a junior at the International School of Bangkok. I have been doing MUN since my freshman year and have enjoyed it thoroughly throughout. Since I first tried HCC, I have found it to be one of, if not my favourite committee to delegate and chair. Outside of MUN, I enjoy playing baseball, doing robotics and getting in the gym as often as possible. I know that MUN can be nerve-wracking and stressful at times, particularly HCC, so as a chair, I hope to create an environment where we can all thrive. If you have any questions or concerns at all, feel free to reach out to me through my email- [email protected]

Hello delegates! My name is Ouk, and I am honoured to serve as your crisis director for HCC. I hope to hear whatever crazy directives you guys thought up and entertain as many of them as I can within the limits of proper decorum : )

If you have any questions in regards to the conference or ROP, please feel free to contact me through my email ([email protected]) or Instagram (ao0ok_)

Hi delegates,

I’m Min-Min and I’ll be your Backroom chair for this conference. Ever since I’ve been introduced to crisis committees (which seems like a lifetime ago) I have never looked back; I know we’ll get to enjoy this experience too. Push your creativity! This is your chance to change history! But before all that, feel free to contact me anytime through my email or my Instagram (@kannitha.mm).

Hiii delegates!

I’m Pin-Pin, and I have the honour of being one of your Backroom Chairs for this conference. I can confidently say that HCC is definitely the best place to both let your imaginations run wild (like REALLY wild) and the place where you literally expect the unexpected; I cannot wait to see what kind of chaos you guys are planning to bring into this conference! I’m so excited to be (back) chairing you all! Of course, please don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or @pn.kanthita on insta. Take a deep breath because this committee is just getting started.
