THAIMUN II Best Delegate
THAIMUN II was my third conference as an MUN delegate. I began becoming enthralled by the activity since my freshman year in high school, when I decided to quit swimming and become involved in the more formal hustle and bustle of what MUN was at the time. Every conference that I have attended since then has been one in which I have had the privilege of meeting individuals that, like myself, are excited to engage in thought-provoking debate, want to know more about the world, and are not afraid to try out age-old pick up lines and puns in order to spice things up. THAIMUN II was not an exception. It was amazing to see that even though I was one of two ISB students attending the conference, I felt at ease and welcome by the staff, advisors, and every delegate that I interacted with. The conference ran very smoothly and it was refreshing to see that even the volunteers and pages were constantly asking for input and did whatever they could to make the the totality of the procedures run efficiently! Truly, it was an honour to be even considered for Best Delegate of the conference, and to be honest, I am still very humbly taken aback by the decision. Thus, I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the organizing and administrating of the conference, including Mr. John Wood, the amazing secretary generals, my ICJ president/chair, and my Ukrainian partner for making this conference especially unforgettable. I will definitely attend next year’s conference!
