Welcome to the UNHRC Committee THAIMUN XI 2024! My name is Leah Wurm and I’m in Year 13 at Hua Hin International School. I am unbelievably honored to be chairing for the second time at THAIMUN where I have made many lifelong memories.
Model UN is such an important experience to be part of because of the public speaking, diplomacy and critical thinking skills you can gain from just a handful of conferences. I am excited for my last ever high school MUN conference to be chairing for the UNHRC committee to discuss crucial issues such as the ethical concerns in the kafala system and the ongoing genocide in Myanmar. A little bit about me: I am an avid film junkie and I love traveling and reading. Please feel free to contact me via my email - @[email protected]. I look forward to seeing you all in March! |
Greetings to all delegates of the UNHRC Committee, I am Grace Ahn, a freshman at Korea International School Jeju. I am grateful to serve as a chair in THAIMUN for the first time, and am excited to meet you all at the conference. Joining the MUN club at my school in 7th grade, I have been an eager delegate and a thoughtful chair in the local MUN as well as numerous digital conferences. I hope that my first ever offline conference abroad would provide me a chance to meet new people and share some insight about the global community. I would try my best to be a welcoming friend if any of you approach me (I’m a very introverted person, but I love making new friends).
Contact me via my email or instagram if you have any questions or comments! I’m very excited to meet everyone in the conference:) (email - [email protected] insta - @n0hnj) |
