Hello delegates! I’m Jonas, a Year 13 (Grade 12/Senior) student at Bangkok Patana School, and I will be one of your front room chairs for this committee! This conference marks the 3rd consecutive year of being involved in THAIMUN, and this conference will have marked my 13th. Out of these, 6 involved me in the HSOC committee in some way – I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! As such, I have also been constantly updating the ROP for this committee over the course of the past year up to now and hope to continue doing so! Outside of MUN, I enjoy many other things such as music and. Feel free to contact me for any purposes at @j_christiaen on Instagram.

Hello all, my name is Dorothy Jang and I am currently a senior at Korea International School Jeju. I have been an MUN lover starting all the way from 6th grade, so I'm currently in my 7th year of MUN experience. I have participated in almost 20 conferences, several of them as a chair. Some of my most recent achievements in Model United Nations are winning significant awards in Hanyang Model United Nations 2022, Harvard Model Congress Asia 2023, and Yonsei Model United Nations 2023. I have a particular liking towards Crisis committees and have directed them multiple times throughout my seven years of experience so I am more than delighted to be serving as your Crisis Director this year at THAIMUN’s HSOC committee. I hope that I as well as my chairs can make this year’s conference an unforgettable experience for all of you. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me through [email protected] or @___yrucrem on Instagram.

Hi, delegates of HSOC! I’m Chaithammasorn Suwannagate but if that’s too long, you can call me Thyme (he/him).
Once I was 7 years old but now I am 15 years old and am currently studying in the ninth grade or year ten at Roong Aroon International School. This conference marks my 14th conference in my MUN journey while wise men say, fools rush in. This marks my 6th time chairing a MUN conference, my 6th HSOC committee and my 2nd time chairing HSOC. Outside of the MUN circuit, you can find me playing sports such as football or basketball or playing games such as Minecraft or Hearts of Iron IV, you can also find me participating in my Khon club. If you see me in public I would probably be wearing a white T-shirt and black pants because she wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts. Nonetheless, I’m enchanted to meet you all and I look forward to your fruitful debates and discussions with each other. As your chair I will be there to guide you along the way and try my best to answer any questions or concerns that you may have, I’ma leave the door open so please do not hesitate to contact me through email at [email protected] or through Instagram via @thym.e942 and let us create an unforgettable experience at THAIMUN XI! |
Hello future delegates of HSOC! I would like to start by welcoming all of you to HSOC! Welcome to what I can promise you will be one of the most fun MUN experiences you will have! HSOC is one of the most popular MUN committees and for good reason.
In this committee you will experience new challenges that you would not face in other committees. You may find yourself faced with having to come up with war tactics and strategies to defeat your opponents on the battlefield or you may find yourself struggling to defend your nation politically through press releases. HSOC offers an MUN experience unlike any other committee and will force you into positions where you must think quickly on your feet to prevent your defeat. You will face a new system where your actions and the outcome of them are decided by us back room chairs and a hefty amount of dice rolls. To some, this may sound exciting but to others it may sound threatening. To those who may be nervous venturing into an unfamiliar committee, do not worry as my front room chairs, Thyme and Jonas will ensure that you fully understand the complex dynamics of the committee and that you have fun throughout the conference. As your back room chair, I will ensure that every decision made will be fair to the situation and to ensure that no side faces any form of unfair treatment. Us chairs are here to make sure that your venture through history’s greatest conflicts is fun and exciting. Now to my introduction. My name is Zac Adiann. I am in my freshman year of high school (grade 9/ year 10) in Wells International School and I have been doing MUN for about a year now. I am somewhat of an experienced delegate, delegating in 6 conferences and have chaired in 1 conference, which had been an HSOC. Aside from my involvement in MUN, I find myself jumping from hobby to hobby with my obsession with sim racing and F1 to trying out photography. My favorite foods are sweets and instant noodles. I don’t like doing my hair and struggle when it comes to style (as obvious from my hair). Lastly, my favorite animals consist of sharks (they’re adorable), cats (also adorable) and dogs (but cats more). If you have any questions about the committee, whether about the chair report or ROP, or if you would simply like to socialize you may find me at [email protected] or on Instagram @zac_no_duh. I hope to have a wonderful conference with all of you and I will catch you all on the flip side! |

Hey Delegates, My name is Dhruv Abrol and I’m
currently a senior at St. Andrews 107 in Bangkok and have been involved in MUN for around 4 years, and I am one of your backroom chairs for THAIMUN XI HSOC. HSOC is an intensely novel experience for standard MUN-goers as it completely transforms the normal ROP of standard committees and adds a role-playing element to historical events. I’m new to HSOC as it is only my 2nd time participating and the first time as a chair and even though I have little experience, the committee is a super fun perspective of MUN and great for newcomers and the experienced alike. My other interests include finding new music and watching football. If there are any concerns or inquiries, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or @dhruvabrol34 on Instagram |
