DREW KLAUBER |
My name is Drew Klauber and I am excited to be one of your HSOC chairs this year. I am currently a senior at Francis W. Parker. I have participated in Model U.N. for 7 years now and it is one of my favorite activities. Previously I have chaired Crisis Committees and also helped run crises. Of all the types of committees I have participated in and chaired, I especially
love crisis committees. They force delegates to balance their competing interests and are constantly challenged by new crises which force them to adapt and confront new situations. Crisis committees also give their delegates the chance to exert external influence and cause some mischief from behind the scenes which makes the experience so much more dynamic. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer and basketball. Additionally, I am an avid reader and enjoy historical fiction and many other genres. I can not wait to meet you all and am looking forward to seeing all of the creative ideas and mischievous plans you bring to HSOC this year! If you have any at all questions please contact me at dklauber@fwparker.org |
Greetings, delegates!
Welcome to the Historical Special Operations Committee! I'm Kush (yes, like the thing you're thinking of), he/him, and I'll be one of your Frontroom Chairs for THAIMUN X. HSOC is an incredible committee, and I'm glad I was able to be a delegate for it in last year's THAIMUN IX. In fact, I love HSOC so much, by the time I'll be chairing THAIMUN, I'll have been a chair for HSOC 3 times. And alongside the parliamentarian for this year's conference, Jonas (<3), I'll be re-writing the rules of procedure for HSOC, as we found that there were a number of improvements that could be made. I am very well aware of my obsession with this committee and am dedicated to making this year's THAIMUN the best iteration of HSOC yet. Apart from HSOC, I’ve been to many MUN conferences that were regional, national, and international. I also run the social media account for THAIMUN X. I love meeting new people and making friends, and I promise I’m way less serious in real life than my picture shows. Outside MUN you’ll see me struggle at the arcade, waste money on new hobbies, play some random Japanese video game from 2006, or just enjoy life with my closest friends and strangers alike. If you have any questions, or concerns, or just find me epic, contact me @kush.natani on Instagram or kushnatani24@gmail.com via email. |

Hey, delegates!
My name’s Rehaan (Rey-haan), he/him, and I will be one of your Backroom chairs along with my lovely associates, I am currently a junior in ISB and am wildly excited to be chairing you lot. HSOC is definitely one of the, in my very biased opinion, most fun and exciting committees, and I'm sure you will all have a wonderful time being delegates, being a delegate for ThaiMUN IX really showed me how enjoyable HSOC can be, and I hope to be able to deliver the same experience to all of you! HSOC really gets you to think on the spot and logically solve problems whether that be diplomatically or in a more unorthodox way and does this all in a super entertaining way and I’m sure you guys will really enjoy it For many of you, this may be your first time delegating in a crisis committee let alone HSOC, and so my fellow chairs and I will be doing our best to make sure that its as enjoyable as possible, whether that be editing the ROP or just getting to know you guys. Other than MUN I enjoy being an absolute dork and playing D&D and video games (probably being bad at both), listening to music, cooking/baking, staying up far too late, and hanging out with my friends! I'm super excited to meet you all and see what nonsense you get up to! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me on instgram @reeeeeeeeeeeeeehaan (yes thats 17 e’s) or email me at rehaangoyal77@gmail.com |

My name is Julia Peet and I am currently a junior at Francis W. Parker school in Chicago. I have lived in Chicago for almost my whole life and love all the cultures and languages that our city has to offer. I have been part of Model UN since sixth grade and have been to over eight conferences, some on Zoom but many in person.
Last year I was the head of Middle School Model UN where I learned a lot about procedure as I taught it to the younger students at my school. I have been a head chair twice at FWPMUN, a conference run by Parker, and have traveled to San Francisco for a national conference. This is my first international conference and I can’t wait to meet people from around the world. Outside of school I like spending time with friends and family. I love to try new food and recipes, both at home and at restaurants. I also love playing and watching sports including field hockey and soccer. I can’t wait to join you all in Thailand this spring! |
