AKIRA KEENE TEOTRAKOOL |
Hello to all, my name is Akira Keene Teotrakool (they/them), you can call me Keene or Akira. I am a grade 11 student at Triam Udom Suksa and I will be serving as the president for this year’s ICJ committee. This will be my third time chairing, my ninth time participating in an MUN and my second year at THAIMUN. Since this is the first onsite THAIMUN in some time, I hope that I can make this conference memorable for you all. Model UN built me as a person, building how I could speak more rhetorically with confidence as well as presenting a chance to incorporate my interests into politics. I hope this conference gives an opportunity to build yourself too!
Alongside my passion for MUN, I do philosophy as a *real* academic interest, I am currently stressing over the Philosophy Olympiad trials. I do a mix of all branches of Philosophy so feel free to talk about whatever. I also do poetry in leisure (check out @poetryclusterfuck) and sing opera as a baritone. If there are any further inquiries or just need socializing you can either contact me via email, akirakeene.work@gmail.com or through @wasakeene, my instagram account. I would be happy to answer any inquiries before the period of the conference, feel free to ask me about the conference, philosophy or anything! I look forward to meeting the advocates and judges at the conference. |
Hello Advocates,
My name is Vardhan Jain (he/him), and I will be your vice president for this year’s ICJ cases. Firstly, I would like to welcome you to ICJ at THAIMUN X conference 2023 and give my congratulations on your selection as an advocate for one of the ICJ cases! The ICJ is the main judicial organ of the Model UN, and with that is the only committee with a court case. While there is a lot to prepare for ICJ, it is all worth it during your case. So, on the day, be ready to interrogate, object, and talk! I am currently a junior (grade 11) at the International School of Bangkok and this is my first conference that I am chairing in. However, I have been to several other conferences before, with the most recent one being at IASAS MUN at the UNCC as an ICJ advocate. I can say, from personal experience, that ICJ allows you to see different perspectives of arguments that no other committee can replicate. If you have any concern over the procedures, or anything else in general, don’t hesitate to contact me at 19392@students.isb.ac.th. I look forward to hearing your side of the case, and good luck in your preparations! |
