- How should the media report on conflicts while maintaining objectivity, accuracy, and safety for journalists?

Hello journalists!
My name is Bogey, and I am a senior at Ruamrudee International School (RIS). It is my pleasure to welcome you to Press Corps! A fun fact about me is that this is my fourth time chairing Press Corps counting from the start of my MUN journey in grade 10, so I can confidently say that this is one of my favorite committees! One thing I love most about this committee is how journalists are given the chance to explore different issues that are debated in other committees while being able to practice their writing skills. It becomes challenging as journalists are also tasked with the job of interviewing delegates to write articles, so it is a way for journalists to step out of their comfort zone! Prim, Serin, and I are fully aware that this committee can sometimes get overwhelming so if you have any concerns please feel free to contact us for help! I love meeting new friends so I would also appreciate it if you want to send a message to talk about other stuff! I have a lot more to say because I love yapping my head off but for now, I’d like to say good luck to you all and hopefully, we’ll get to meet soon in March so that I can get to yap in real life with you! If you need anything please let me know via email [email protected] or through my instagram @bbogeyyyy ! |
Hey journalists! I’m Serin and I’m a junior at Ekamai International School and this is my third year doing MUN and my second time chairing press! Ever since I was put in as an emergency press chair without having any press experience myself (despite the 16 conferences worth of experience), I fell in love with press which is why I’ll be one of your editors for THAIMUN XII’s conference.
Outside of MUN however, I figure skate and play a bit of football as well (as a goalkeeper). Also being a girl who loves STEM, I lead my own women in a STEM organisation called Silva STEM which aims to empower young girls within the fields of STEM (check it out!). Just to top it off with being a part of the THAIMUN’s SMT for this year as well, as the design team making graphics for our media (the invitational posts and logistics!) I’m more than grateful and excited to be chairing my favorite committee this year and to get to know all of you journalists! With that, do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to yap about something, I’m all ears! You can find me on instagram @serinn.cig or my email ([email protected]). Hope to see all of you in March! |

Hi journalists! My name is Prim, I’m a junior at RIS, and I’ll be one of your co-editors for THAIMUN XII Press Corps! This is my third time chairing overall, and my second time chairing Press. I’m partial to this committee since it fosters conference-wide collaboration and fast-paced writing, being both challenging and enjoyable. I joined MUN last year, excited at the prospect of meeting people with similar interests and the opportunity to enhance skills in debating, researching, and writing. Since then, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience and sincerely hope this conference will be fun and memorable for you all as well.
Aside from MUN, however, I’m really into playing and listening to music, particularly jazz and shoegaze. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions pertaining to the conference, if you want to jam, or if you’re just down to chat at my email ([email protected]) or instagram (ppr1mm). I’m stoked to meet you all in March; let’s all do our best. See you soon !! |
