Hello future delegates of UNSC,
First of all, welcome to UNSC! This committee is the pinnacle of MUN, and in here, you will most likely find heated discussions, fruitful debate, and (possible) abuse of P5 veto powers. While this council will be difficult and challenging, don’t worry! My co-chair and I will be guiding you throughout your journey and helping you get the best out of THAIMUN IX. Moving on to actual introductions, my name is Jeremy Kim (he/him) and I am a grade 11 student from International Community School. I’ve participated in 14 conferences so far, both national and international, and chaired in 3 of them. When I’m not doing nerd MUN stuff or managing my club, you’ll find me stressing over APs, playing my clarinet, and wasting time on my Ipad. If you have any inquiries about the chair report, committee proceedings, or just want to socialize, you can find me in either yhkjeremy@gmail.com, or on instagram at @korean.young. See you all soon! |

Honorable Chairs, delegates and esteemed guests, my name is Shrish Mahesh. I am delighted to be serving as your chair for the UNSC in THAIMUN 2022. I am currently attending Bangkok Patana School and am in Year 12 (Grade 11). I have been doing MUN for 3 years now and this will be my 4th year. This is going to be my 8th conference and my second experience chairing. MUN has been one of the most important parts of my life in secondary and has helped me enhance my public speaking skills immensely. I am interested in animals, specifically mountain goats, and cricket, which is my favorite sport. I look forward to this conference and hope to have a wonderful time working with you all. I hope we experience some very fruitful debate and put together comprehensive resolutions to solve these pressing issues that we will be discussing.
