Hi delegates!
My name is Navin (he/him) and I will be your backroom chair for the USCC committee. I am currently a junior at ISB and I am very excited to be chairing your committee for this conference. USCC, for me, is one of the most interesting committees in MUN and I’m sure you will all have a wonderful experience here. Although this is my first time as a chair, I have been to several MUN conferences in the past and from my experience, MUN is one of the most eye opening and fun experiences ever. Being in the same debate with so many amazing minds gives you many inspirations, ideas and perspectives that you have never thought of before. Outside of MUN, I enjoy playing badminton, volleyball, cycling, as well as sailing. I am also in the VEX robotics team at school. I hope to have a fruitful and interesting debate, as well as a really fun time together. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on instagram at navinnavin.k or email me at 21462@students.isb.ac.th Looking forward to working with you all! Navin |

Hello USCC delegates!
My name is Kekoa Olive and I will be one of your front room chairs this year for THAIMUN. I am very excited to be chairing this committee and I forward to debate on the various current issues the US is facing. Whether it be social issues, such as women’s rights, or other topics, like gun control, Congress is the body that can propose real solutions to these problems. As the legislative body of the US, one of the three major branches of government, the congress plays a critical role in voicing the concerns of the people. I hope we will be able to emulate many aspects of the US congress, but I also hope we can perhaps remain more civil than the actual US congress. While I understand that the US is not the most important country in the world, I believe these topics are important across the world. In this sense it will be very similar to other MUN committees debating current global issues. However I also know that this will be a new type of committee for many of you, but I encourage you to embrace the chance to explore and have fun with this new form of committee. I’m really excited to see what you guys bring to the conference, whether it be chaos or calmness, and I look forward to a fun debate! |
Hi! I am Punnarit Sae-jeang, a Junior from Triam Udom Suksa School.
I have participated in multiple Model UN conferences since grade 9. But, my most memorable experience is from the THAIMUN IX USCC (United States Congress Committee), and I would gladly like to put forth that experience to other fellow MUNers. Aside from grinding standardized exams, I am into astrophotography and the game of “Go” (The Chinese/Korean/Japanese board game with black and white stones NOT Asian Chess). I love to discuss geopolitical issues and study them in depth as well. Now, let's get political. Mark Twain once said, “When congress is in session no American is safe.” Your power is endless as the legislative branch of the United States government. You can turn to the CCP for “support,” bring back your best friend Boris Johnson to help bring justice for the conservatives, or even create your own coalition between parties for the sweet corporate sponsorship. Your glorious ideas may have enormous support from Congress but will face fierce opposition from the Administration, or vice versa. If you have any inquiries or hot political issues, please feel free to contact me via e-mail (MUN@punnar.it) or my Instagram (@planpunnarit) See you all in the chamber. *bangs gavel* |

Hello everyone, my name is Shrish Mahesh.
I am delighted to be serving as your backroom chair for the USCC in THAIMUN 2023. I am currently attending Bangkok Patana School and am in Year 13 (Grade 12). This will be my 5th year doing MUN. This is going to be my 11 th conference and my third experience chairing. MUN has been integral to my personal development throughout secondary school and has helped me enhance my public speaking skills immensely. I have also gotten to meet many wonderful people through conferences which has been a great joy. I am interested in animals, specifically mountain goats and am an avid cricket enthusiast. I look forward to this conference and hope to have a wonderful time working with you all. I hope we experience some very fruitful debate and put together comprehensive resolutions to solve these pressing issues that we will be discussing. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any clarification, doubts or even if you just want to talk. |
